David joined the US Navy after attending Kirkwood Community College and proudly spent 5 years serving his country. He was stationed on a destroyer out of San Diego, CA and deployed twice while serving. While in the Navy, David took a variety of college classes remotely. He was honorably discharged in 1987.

David joined the US Navy after attending Kirkwood Community College and proudly spent 5 years serving his country. He was stationed on a destroyer out of San Diego, CA and deployed twice while serving. While in the Navy, David took a variety of college classes remotely. He was honorably discharged in 1987.
David began his sales and relationship career in 1988 as a Diamond Council of America (DCA) certified diamontologist and worked for Rogers Jewelers and Phillips Diamond Shop. He then worked for several local companies as an outside sales account executive. David's success was predicated on always doing what is in the client's best interest, that philosophy is unchanged after being in the relationship business for over 36 years.
David started in the media business in 1990 and worked for several printing companies before taking a job at KGAN representing CBS. After 4 years with KGAN, he then joined KWWL and spent 10 years representing NBC. In September of 2014, David and his wife Janice created PaulMolly Advertising (named after their 2 children). PaulMolly Advertising has continued to grow and in April of 2023 operations were moved to 448 7th Avenue in Marion.
In David's many years of working in the Cedar Rapids and Marion communities, he has been proud to have volunteered or been associated with many outstanding organizations. Some but not all are listed below.

In his spare time, David likes to go to the gym, play golf, play euchre, shoot pool, do yoga with his wife and watch the Iowa Hawkeyes & Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The most important thing of course is faith and family.

Janice graduated from the University of Iowa, majoring in Finance, minoring in Sociology. She has worked in the area of accounting/finance for 12 years, 9 of those years have been in the capacity of PaulMolly Advertising's Office Manager.
